Preschool – Little Champs Academy

2.5 – 5 years

Staff and Ratio:
Staff in our rooms are Early Childhood Educators who are registered with the college of ECE. Each staff has a police reference check and valid first-aid and CPR certificate.

Ratios for preschool are one staff for every eight children in the room.

Fee Structure:
Full-time: $1,200/month*

*We have opted into the Canada-Wide Early Learning & Child Care program and provide the appropriate subsidy provided by the government. Fiscal 2023 subsidy is 52.5% of our full-time fee. Please call for further information.

Our Schedule:
7:30 – 9:30
Free Play: Children are free the choose activities from around the room including our house center, building area, art, puzzles and special activities set out each day by the teachers. We offer a snack during this time for children who are hungry.
9:30 – 10:00
Circle time: children sit with a teacher and sing, read stories and do other activities. Many of these focus on teaching children turn-taking, listening skills, colours, numbers/counting, shapes, letters and other things that interest the children.
10:00 – 11:00
Outside time: Children practice gross motor and social skills through free play and organized activities.
11:00 – 11:30
Lunch Time: Children will have an opportunity to practice eating skills, social skills, and trying new things. After lunch children are free to play until it is time to sleep.
12:30 – 2:30
Sleep Time: Children have the opportunity to rest during this time. Children who do not sleep will be given books and quiet activities to do during this time.
2:30 – 6:00
Free Play / Snack/ Outside Time: We offer children snack at around 3:00 and go outside for around an hour (weather permitting.) Children also have plenty of time in the afternoon for free play with this friends while they wait for pick-up.
